Highlands North Structural Assessment

Ilanga Consulting Engineers was approached to perform a structural assessment of an existing roof of a single-storey house in Johannesburg. The house was intended to be renovated, with internal walls to be demolished. The client correctly picked up that the services of a structural engineer would be required before the commencement of demolition.

 

Ilanga Consulting Engineers evaluated the structure based on the prescripts of the National Building Regulations (SANS 10400) and its associated design codes. The outcomes of the investigations were communicated to the client, with recommendations on remedial action.
